This application can perform text recognition on the scanned images using OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to convert the image data into Word, Excel, or PowerPoint files that can be edited.
Install ABBYY FineReader for ScanSnap from ScanSnap Online Update after ScanSnap Home is installed.
Display the Main Window of ScanSnap Home and select [Help] → [Online update (check for updates)] in the menu to run ScanSnap Online Update.
The OCR Pack is a set of languages that can be used to recognize text. By installing the OCR Pack, you can add extra languages to recognize text.

This is an application for creating, editing, managing, and utilizing PDF format electronic documents.
To install Kofax Power PDF Standard or Nuance Power PDF Standard, access the URL that is printed in the license certificate supplied with the ScanSnap and download the installer from the website.

Oct 16, 2017 You don’t need antivirus software, Macs can’t get viruses too easily at all. And no, it doesn’t come with any. But believe me, I have 4 macs and 2 PCs, and the pcs got virus, NONE of the macs did. So you are probably fine. Do macs come with antivirus software.
Update the ScanSnap firmware to add new features or improve features and operational performance. When a newer version of firmware is released, you will receive a notification from ScanSnap Home.
To update the firmware, you need to have access to the Internet.
Do not perform the following operations while updating the firmware. Otherwise, the firmware data may be corrupted.
Turning off the ScanSnap
Disconnecting the ScanSnap and the computer by unplugging the USB cable from the ScanSnap or the computer or by changing the Wi-Fi settings.

- Display the Main Window of ScanSnap Home.
- Select [Settings] in the menu → [Preferences] to display the preferences window.
- Select the ScanSnap that is currently connected to the computer from the list of ScanSnap units in [Scanner information] that is located in the [Scanner] tab.
The [Scanner] tab can be displayed from the ScanSnap Home menu which appears when you right-click the ScanSnap Home icon in the notification area, at the far right of the taskbar on the computer.

- Click the [Update] button.
- Follow the instructions on the [ScanSnap Firmware Update] window that appears.
Mac OS
- Display the Main Window of ScanSnap Home.
Click the [ScanSnap Home] icon in the application list that appears when you click Launchpad in the Dock.
- Select [ScanSnap Home] on the menu bar → [Preferences] to display the preferences window.
- Select the ScanSnap that is currently connected to the computer from the list of ScanSnap units in [Scanner information] that is located in the [Scanner] tab.
The [Scanner] tab can be displayed from the ScanSnap Home menu which appears when you click the ScanSnap Home icon at the far right of the menu bar on the computer.
