1. Press Command+Space and type Terminal and press enter/return key.
2. Run in Terminal app:
   ruby -e '$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)' < /dev/null 2> /dev/null ; brew install caskroom/cask/brew-cask 2> /dev/null
   and press enter/return key.
   If the screen prompts you to enter a password, please enter your Mac's user password to continue. When you type the password, it won't be displayed on screen, but the system would accept it. So just type your password and press ENTER/RETURN key. Then wait for the command to finish.
3. Run:

Done! You can now use Basic PAYE Tools.

The Counting of ' The Number of Employees ' is the total of leavers plus the total of current employees whose pay has been processed through our system at least once during the last tax year.

1. Example of Counting 'The Number of Employees'
Assuming you have 9 employees at the start of the year, however, in the middle of the year 3 employees quit and the company recruits 2 replacements. All these employees have been paid at least once, in this instance the total The Number of Employees will be 6 + 3 + 2 = 11. The total cost will be 11 x £10 = £110 + VAT.

2. Actual Payroll Process
Assuming you are a recruitment agency you have 120 employees in the payroll system but only 15 employees ever got paid regularly during the tax year and you issued 2 P45s to 2 employees who never got paid. 'The Number of Employees ' will be 15 + 2 = 17. Using our system to process a P45 is counted processing an employee's pay as a P45 does calculate the pay and has to be e-filed to HMRC by FPS through our system.
